Consultation and Advocacy
The world of special education can be overwhelming and intimidating. As a parent, you want to know that you are making the right decisions for your child, but sometimes you truly don't know where to start. I am here to simplify the process for you. I have 7 years of experience as an occupational therapist in the school-based setting, which has fueled an ongoing passion for supporting students with learning differences and their families. Through my advocacy and consultation services, I will answer all of your questions, explain each step along the way, and empower you with knowledge and tools to support your child throughout their academic journey.
Parent Consultation
Do you have concerns about your child's learning, but you don't know what to do? Has your child been referred or evaluated for special education services, and you don't understand what will happen next? I am here to answer these questions (and ALL of the other questions that you may have) and give you the confidence to support your child throughout their academic journey.

IEP/504 Meeting Advocate
IEP and 504 meetings can be overwhelming! There is a lot of information being thrown at you, and a lot of people contributing to the team. As a parent, you are an integral part of that team. You are the expert for your child! Your collaboration is crucial in developing goals and services to support your child's unique needs. In order to effectively advocate for your child, you must understand your rights as a parent. My role is to support you while navigating the complicated IEP and/or 504 Plan process. I can attend meetings either in-person or virtually to interpret data and plan documents, participate in collaboration with team members, problem-solve obstacles to meet individual needs, and tirelessly advocate for your child. I hope to work alongside you to ensure your child receives the best possible support and resources they need to thrive at school.
